The ASIS Chicago Monthly Luncheons have a new name!

Join ASIS Chicago on Thursday, May 17th for the May Monthly Meeting and Seminar.

Monthly meetings provide ASIS Chicago members an opportunity to network with one another while also receiving updates on local Chapter and ASIS International initiatives and events. Chapter members will have an opportunity to discuss local safety and security trends before hearing from a pre-eminent speaker in the industry on a variety of relevant topics. Registration includes admission and lunch.

Neal McLoughlin

Having over 20 years of investigative experience. Neal received his B.S. from C.C. of St Joseph and a Master degree from St. Xavier University in Fraud Examination. He received a C.F.E designation in 2005 and has gone on to teach Social Media investigative techniques throughout the U.S. He is currently an instructor with Public Grants and Training Initiatives www.PG-TI.com Neal is a member of several professional society’s and is a founding member of the Association of Social Media and Online Investigators www.ASMOI.org.

Using Social Media Open Source (OSINT) and Cell Phone Applications in Investigations

This presentation will review the current state of Open Source Social Media investigations. Applying best practices for engineering an in house Social Media Investigative Unit.  Explores the areas of capabilities and limitations that are of special interest for insurance investigations. Attendees will receive an easy to understand overview of Social Media Terms of Service and what they translate to regarding use in investigations. In particular, attendees will learn how and why this is a necessary tool for the security and private investigations sector and why it will be relevant in years to come. We will explore the correct way to collect and document information recovered through the use of Social Media platforms.
