SEMINAR: This presentation will include a short introduction to fusion centers, the history of the Statewide Terrorism & Intelligence Center, and an overview of the available law enforcement resources and public safety programs available to partners at the fusion center. This will also cover the types of information shared and received by the fusion center and how the information is collected and disseminated. The STIC is an all-crimes and all-hazards fusion center and participates in disaster intelligence collection. A portion of the presentation will also highlight the tools used to aid in disaster intelligence collection.

PRESENTER: Ashley Reichert, Statewide Terrorism Intelligence Center

Ms. Reichert is the Critical Infrastructure Specialist within the state of Illinois fusion center, the Statewide Terrorism and Intelligence Center (STIC) located in Springfield, Illinois. In this position, Ms. Reichert is the program manager for private sector partners through the Infrastructure Security Awareness (ISA) program. The ISA program was designed in September 2004 as an engagement between STIC and private sector members to share For Official Use Only (FOUO) information and timely guidance to critical infrastructure protection and intelligence to partners on a “need to know” basis. This includes sharing information with partners to prevent, mitigate, respond, and recover from natural or man-made disasters. Ms. Reichert identifies key intelligence requirements, priorities, and gaps that pertain to critical infrastructure and key resources in Illinois.

Ms. Reichert completes the annual Department of Homeland Security (DHS) National Critical Infrastructure Prioritization Program Annual Data Call for the state of Illinois, serves as the Officer for Illinois in the Protected Critical Infrastructure Information program, and is the IP Gateway administrator for Illinois.

Ms. Reichert has been assigned to the STIC since March 2010. Ms. Reichert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/Anthropology from the University of Illinois. Ms. Reichert also holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Sciences from Illinois State University.
